TanklessNews.ca does two jobs. It reports dated, sourced news about tankless water heaters in Canada, and it helps the companies that install them market their work honestly. The two jobs feed each other: the rebate terms, recalls and code changes we report are the facts installers need to get right in their quotes, ads and websites.
The company
The short answer: a Canadian brand within the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, headquartered in Vancouver.
TanklessNews.ca is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies. Sedighi.ca, Ali Sedighi's consulting company for growth, marketing and technology, runs several brands: HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, Trades.Agency, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca. The other half of the group, SAZ.ca (Strategy & Acceleration Zone), advises Canadian companies on strategy, AI and revenue acceleration; Ali founded it and is its Managing Partner.
We are Canadian, headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and we work with clients across the country. Marketing plans are delivered through our parent agency, HVAC.Agency.
What we are, and what we're not
The short answer: a marketing and business consulting service, not a contractor.
TanklessNews.ca sells marketing and business advice to Canadian heating and HVAC companies; it is not an HVAC contractor. We don't install, repair, service or sell water heaters, and nothing on this site is installation, code, legal or compliance advice. When we report on a regulator or a code, we summarise it and link the source; the regulator and your licensed staff decide what applies to a job.
That boundary matters in a newsroom. It lets us report a recall or a rebate change plainly, without a sales angle in the news itself. Our marketing view appears only in the labelled analysis sections of each news story and on our services pages.
Ali Sedighi, MBA
The short answer: more than 17 years in digital marketing, and 150+ live HVAC websites built.
Ali Sedighi holds an MBA in Technology Management. He has more than 17 years of digital marketing experience, starting in 2007, when he founded ONE.ir, a full-service digital marketing agency. He now lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia.
His portfolio runs to more than 150 live HVAC websites, and CombiBoiler.ca, HVACDeal.ca, HeatLand.ca and BCWide.ca are among them. Ali also founded Conv.ca, which specialises in conversion-rate optimisation, and MyAutomation.ca. His clients are in Canada, the USA and Dubai.
You can read more about Ali on Sedighi.ca and on HVAC.Agency's about page.
How the newsroom works
The short answer: primary sources, real dates, labelled analysis and dated corrections.
Every story is based on a source we loaded ourselves: a Health Canada recall notice, a provincial bulletin, a utility program page, a Federal Register notice or a manufacturer's own release. The article's published date is the source's date. Where an item isn't new, we label it as an explainer instead of calling it news. When a fact changes, we add a dated correction.
We don't publish paid placements, and we treat manufacturer claims as claims. When Rinnai or Navien describes its own market position, we say who said it.
How we work with installers
The short answer: audit first, plan in writing, report what matters.
- Audit. In the 7-day free trial we audit your marketing and website, analyse your search presence and benchmark competitors, with no credit card and no lock-in.
- Plan. We recommend what to do first based on your market, crew capacity and goals, and the scope is written into your proposal.
- Deliver. Local SEO, ads, maintenance plan marketing and accurate rebate content, as needed.
- Report. Calls, texts, emails and booked jobs, in plain language.
You own your website, profiles and ad accounts throughout.
Proof of method
The short answer: published results from our heating work.
Our results page shows named outcomes such as HVACDeal.ca's 500+ leads at a 12:1 ROI and CombiBoiler.ca's 300% ROI. The full list is on HVAC.Agency's case studies. To talk about your business, see contact: call, text or email.
